Club Rules

We don't want to be overbearing, but our members enjoy a special facility. Naturally there are some rules we ALL follow. Here they are:

Personal belongings are your responsibility and Beach House does not accept responsibility or liability for any items you may bring onto the premises.

Clothing and Towels

Loose comfortable clothing is recommended for exercising. A pair of well fitting, closed in supportive sneaker type shoes, along with a sweat towel are essential and a compulsory condition of entry to the training areas. Should you forget to bring along your towel, you can usually hire one from reception for a small fee. It is also a good idea to ensure you have water on hand during your workout to prevent dehydration. Beach House water bottles are available for purchase from reception, along with a variety of chilled bottled waters.

Care of Equipment

To maintain all equipment in optimum condition we ask that you help by respecting the equipment and the rights of your fellow members. Please wipe down the equipment as you go, and to replace weights on their stands when you are finished for the next person to use. The equipment is not to be modified in any way and must only be used in accordance with the directions prescribed by your instructor, as described in your program.

We also like to work in a tidy environment so we ask all members to put away any equipment used including weight plates! Thanks.

Group Fitness Classes

Beach House Maroochydore offers a selection of group fitness classes at the centre. We encourage you to try as many of these as you can. Please arrive early if your class requires equipment to be set up. Classes must start promptly and therefore you may be refused entry if the warm up section of the class has been completed. If for any reason you need to leave early from a class, please advise the instructor at the start of the class. If you are attending a class for the first time, or if you have any health issues that may affect the safety of your workout, you must advise the instructor at the start of the class. Our fitness class timetable is reviewed on a regular basis, and any classes offered, or the scheduling of classes, may be altered from time to time to service the current needs of the centre. Beach House does not guarantee that any classes present at the time of joining will remain on a permanent basis. Class timetables are available from reception.

General Behaviour

Members are required to be courteous to other members, and to staff at all times. It is a requirement that as a member at Beach House Fitness Centre, you comply with staff instructions regarding safe exercise performance, machine time limits and all outlined terms and conditions as listed on the membership agreement form in addition to terms and conditions listed on this document. No smoking, alcohol or drug use is permitted within the boundaries of the centre, and you are requested not to chew gum whilst on the premises. Members will be held responsible for the cost of repairs arising from any damage to the premises or the equipment caused by themselves, or any guests they bring onto the premises. Any member may be expelled and have their membership cancelled for breach of regulations. Management reserves the right to amend terms/conditions, hours of operation, fitness class timetable and services available in accordance with the changing requirements of the centre. Copies of current terms/conditions are readily available from reception, along with current class timetables.
